Hector Ward Corbis Footage , ,

Are you wondering why searching for Corbis Motion leads you to Getty Images? That’s because the stock video site is no longer available in Corbis. It is now part of the more comprehensive and diverse library of GI. The shift started in May 2016 and was completed in the summer. This means your favorite Corbis videos is now accessible at Getty’s library.

Not all stock footages were transferred to Getty Images. Only the best and most significant videos are available in the stock site. Now, you can access over 200 million of stunning content, plus expert insights and global services, all in one place. Here are some things you need to know about Corbis Motion now:

  • It is now available as part of Getty Images’ library.
  • Only the most popular stock footages were migrated, along with many media partners.
  • You can purchase the videos through Getty’s very own pricing.
  • You can find Corbis content using the current Corbis asset ID.
  • The move started on May 2, 2016 and was completed during the summer.

If you can’t find Corbis Motion anymore, don’t panic. It just moved to a better place. This merge with Getty Images gives you a wider range of options – over 200 million to be exact. You can still access the most popular videos from CM, as well as Getty’s very own high quality collection. Stock footages from BBC Motion, National Geographic and other popular media sites are also available in the stock site.

Moving Corbis Motion to Getty Images is not really sad news. It is definitely good for both members of the stock sites. Now, they have a more comprehensive and diverse collection of stock assets to explore. Corbis members will also get a chance to purchase Corbis footages at lower rates with Getty’s new offering – Ultrapacks.

What are you waiting for? Check out Corbis Motion at Getty Images and download that stock footage you’ve been eyeing for a long time now.

corbis-motion-logoAre you looking for Corbis footage? When you search for Corbis videos on search engines, you will be taken to Getty Images’ website. Don’t be alarmed because you are in the right place. In May 2016, Corbis shut down its website and moved its most significant files to Getty. That’s why when you search for Corbis Images, Motion and Veer, you are directed to the latter’s website.

What does this mean? Well, not all Corbis content can be found in Getty’s library. Only the most significant ones selected by the latter’s team of experts. Other files you will find are from the most popular media companies such as BBC Motion, National Geographic and Walt Disney. At Getty Images, you get Corbis footage and images, as well as insights and global services from the stock agency’s experts. More importantly, you also get to explore Getty’s collection.

3 Main Reasons Cheap Stock Footage is good for your Project

footage-and-videosAre you looking to save time and money on your video productions? You might want to add a cheap stock footage in your toolbox. Stock footages do not get the recognition they deserve in the film making community because the shots do not have the limitless depths of an original filmmaker’s camera and mind. Some even think that they are less unique. However, they are important for creative professionals who are on a tight budget because they are both time-saving and inexpensive.

Here are three main reasons why cheap stock footage must be utilized in your creative projects:

  • Cheap stock footage is often easier and cheaper than conducting your own video shoot.
Most of the footage in your film is going to come from your own camera. There is no doubt about that. However, there are certain instances when purchasing a stock footage is good for your project. For instance, you want a footage of a city skyline or an eagle soaring above a canyon. It might not be financially feasible to spend time and money on travel, permits, crew and other expenses.

A cheap stock footage is an easier and cheaper option because it allows you to include images from whichever location or situation with a fraction of a cost of shooting it yourself. If you are on a tight deadline, travel might be out of the question. That’s when a stock footage becomes a viable option since it is ready to be used right when you need it.

  • Even Hollywood films use it. While it does not necessarily mean that if Hollywood films use it you should use it too, we cannot deny the fact that one of the best filmmakers in the world actually uses cheap stock footage. This simply means that all productions are using every way to save time and money as possible – regardless of their budget. Even major productions are using it too. Although they could have captured a scene on their own, they still choose to use stock to save time and money.
  • You can use cheap stock footage immediately. If you do not have the luxury of time and money, you do not need to stress out on finding funds to set up a last minute shoot. You can easily find a stock footage online, purchase, download and use it when you need it.

Cheap stock footage may be the difference between you finishing your project and not. You do not have to worry about quality because they generally adhere to the high standards that stock media sites require from their contributors. If you are still not convinced of the importance of stock footage, these three main reasons will help you recognize its value on your creative project – especially if you have limited time and budget.

Choosing between Free Images and Cheap Stock Photos

Hector Ward Cheap Stock Images , ,

stock photos for your websiteStock photos can be the difference between a just-okay website and marvelous site. If you are a professional photographer or have a friend who is a professional photographer, you may be already set. You can get on with your website without worrying about expensive and time-consuming photoshoots. But, what if these two do not describe you? You do not have to worry. Cheap stock photos are available in various stock photo sites.

Cheap stock photo sites have extensive libraries with over millions of stock photos to suit your unique theme and subject. You can simply use their search options, which allow you to enter specific keywords relevant to your desired theme or subject. Then, you can choose among the results displayed after your search. With only a small amount of money, you can purchase cheap photos for your project.

You might ask why you have to pay for a small amount of money if you can get free images from the Internet. Consider this. While you may be able to save a few dollars from these freebies, you will be facing a great deal of financial and legal damages in the future. It will not be long until the stock photo police chases after you. Keep in mind that free photos do not include licenses, unlike their cheap counterparts.

Licenses are important when it comes to stock photography. They protect you from copyright infringement violations. Purchasing cheap stock images will give you the licenses you need to use the image anywhere and anytime. As long as you adhere to the license agreement and keep away from the prohibitions, you are safe. You can use the stock photos cheap to complement your message and spice up your website.

Stock photos for your blog

What does a $5 dollar photo get you? Characteristically, this amount can get you high-quality royalty-free images that you can use in your website, brochure, blog or any project you like. On the other hand, a free photo will put you at risk for copyright issues that may damage you and your business both legally and financially. Moreover, it can give you the top quality images you need to make a marvelous project.

If you do not feel like giving a small amount for a photo, some cheap stock photo sites offer free photos every week as long as you sign up for them. These free photos can only be used in your website and you have to make a small note to reference the creator.

Choosing between cheap stock images and free photos is an easy decision. Would you rather pay a small amount for risk-free stock photos or pay damages hundred times over with free images?
